Membership

The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas has over 300 trained volunteers that contribute over 35,000 volunteer woman-hours and raise over $50,000 annually to support our community projects.

The Junior League measures success not only by the partnerships we make to impact the community, but also by the members developed to move into service with other organizations and boards. Currently, Junior League members serve on the board of directors for Walton Arts Center, NWA American Heart Association, Project for Victims of Family Violence, NWA Crisis Center, Jones Center for Families, Washington Regional Medical Foundation, Washington County EOA, Ozark Komen Race for the Cure, Mercy Health System Foundation, New School, Community Clinic at St. Francis House, NWA Children’s Shelter, Family Network and hundreds of area non-profits have Junior League members who volunteer regularly.

The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas is recognized as a national leader in volunteerism. In 1998, JLNWA received a national USA Today/ Paul Newman Community Service Award for Project Kids Hope. The Association of Junior Leagues International distinguished JLNWA with the award for Outstanding Strategic Plan in 2000. In Northwest Arkansas, the Junior League has received the JC Penny Golden Rule Award for Volunteerism, the 2002 Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce Volunteer Service Organization of the Year Award and the Junior League was named the 2002-2003 Northwest Arkansas Non-Profit of the Year by the Arkansas Business Journal. During 2003-2004 the three hundred and eleven members of the Junior League will continue this commitment to community by giving over 30,000 hours of volunteer service to area non-profits.
