Serve Our Shelters
The goal is to provide funding and direct service hours to partner agencies that are projects planned and then implemented in one day. Partner agencies include Children's House and Peace at Home Family Shelter. Children's House provides therapeutic pre-school to 20-25 children in Washington County each year that are from abusive home. read more
Women's Independence Network
The goal is to empower women to gain independence and self-esteem through life-skills training that provides how-to knowledge and self-improvement skills. Partner agencies include long-term Benton County Shelters- Restoration Village & Havenwood.
The Touch a Truck event helps the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas support its mission and community projects such as Children's House, Havenwood, Restoration Village and That's My Bag project for foster children; while providing families the opportunity to learn about and explore trucks, construction vehicles and public safety equipment.
New Member Training- New members attend training sessions for one year to prepare for active participation in the League and service to the community. Emphasis includes learning about the League, developing volunteer skills and meeting other members.
The Junior League emphasizes the training of women in volunteer service and developing their potential to act as community leaders. This commitment to training not only serves the needs of our League, but it also provides a service to other local organizations, both non-profit and for profit.
