Message from Our President

Welcome to the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas’ website. We’re delighted you’re interested in our organizationGracie!

In 1999 the founders of the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas identified the underserved need for domestic violence awareness within our community as our single focus area. A number of our programs and events continue to operate as legacy building opportunities and growth platforms, including the That’s My Bag, Winter Dreams Tour of Homes, and Touch A Truck – just to name a few.

I encourage you to browse our website to learn more about our organizations’ 17-year history of serving the Northwest Arkansas community.

Beginning in the 2016 League year, the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas has adopted a new governance model that will allow for continued work toward fulfilling our mission and focus area through day-to-day activity and process execution, and additionally set our League up to successfully and strategically plan for growth and development in our community.  Together with our community partners, we’re working to develop and implement projects to educate and support our community about the impact of domestic violence on our region as a whole.

The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas is just one of more than 290 Junior Leagues worldwide affecting change in their communities by building skills and community interest in the next generation of community leaders. Junior Leagues exist to provide emerging and established women leaders with the opportunity to experience various facets of volunteer work and nonprofit management and to use those skills to develop solutions to critical issues within their communities.

And that is one of our ultimate goals: for the Junior League membership to take the skills honed in the League into the wider community, sharing what they’ve learned with other organizations and making a real difference in people’s lives. Our strong Sustainer members – many of which are in important positions of corporate, public service and non-profit leadership – offer so many amazing real-life examples of the impact our membership can have. Our current members show the same drive, commitment, and promise. These intelligent, innovative, and dedicated women are poised to serve our community well into the future.

If you’re considering joining our dynamic, vibrant organization, we’d be happy to welcome you! Read more about becoming a member here.

To those who are already donors and sponsors of our League – thank you! I look forward to continuing our relationship. Without your support, we couldn’t affect change and improve the community through the development of effective volunteer leadership. Your support helps us move toward our vision of becoming Northwest Arkansas’ premier women’s volunteer organization.

I’m excited and honored to be leading this tremendous organization of committed and dedicated community leaders in its 17th year! Whether you’re interested in becoming a member, attending an event, or acting as a supporter or sponsor, please explore our website and contact us for more information.

With warmest regards,

Gracie Ziegler
