The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Reaching Out Statement
The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism, and are a minimum age of 21.
Community Focus - Our community focus is domestic violence and child abuse in Northwest Arkansas. Community partners include Children's House, Peace at Home Family Shelter, NWA Women's Shelter, Havenwood, Restoration Village, local domestic violence professionals, as well as the juvenile court system and Department of Human Services.
Financial Support- We currently are funded through our Winter Dreams Tour of Homes, Touch a Truck, Add Another Place Setting cookbook, sponso rships, corpo rate donations, and membership dues. Fundraisers are necessary to continue to train volunteers and to provide funds to support our community projects.
New Member Training- New members attend training sessions during the provisional year to prepare for active participation in the League and service to the community. Emphasis includes learning about the structure and history of the League, developing volunteer skills and meeting other members.

How to Apply
The applications for the 2014-15 New Member class will accepted May 1, 2014 through June 1, 2014.
Provisional members complete a training course during their first year of service. This course incorporates volunteer management and leadership, Junior League of Northwest Arkansas structure and policies, community awareness and involvement. Provisional members also complete an Impact Project during their first year. Past projects include developing a recruiting plan for new members, a book drive for Children's House and a food drive.
